Seasick Yet Still Docked
The ceiling of Shenzhen's new airport gives the impression that you're underwater looking up at a turbulent sea.

Everybody Loves A Coup
Even if it's called Martial Law.
It's been several weeks since Bangkokians had a legitimate reason to take a selfie. Fortunately, the Thai Army intervened.

Introducing Tipper
We decided that Kittie needed a friend, so we adopted another street cat.
The tips of her toes are white, so we named her Tipper
I don't see how it's possible, but we were told these are Tipper's brothers and sisters.

Birthday At The Beach
My buddy John has a birthday beach party/ BBQ every May.
You know you're getting old when your hangover lasts 2 days, but the aches and pains from playing Frisbee last a week.
Here's the beach house
and the beach house dog.

Mr Jones' Orphanage
A few weeks ago, I took Nuch to a trendy new coffee shop in town called Mr. Jones' Orphanage.
I knew it was filled with cakes, coffee, tea, and stuffed teddy bears, but I didn't know there was no beer, no wine, and no burgers. However, it was all worth it when I was honored with the "Husband of the Day" award.

Mystery Meat
This shop was across from my hotel during a recent stay in Guangzhou. At first glance, I thought they were selling precious stones and quartz.
It was actually large slices of pig fat sealed in a clear ceramic to be displayed in the front windows of restaurants that specialized in pork.
The Man Salon
After 14 years of 2 dollar haircuts from a barber, I've finally upgraded to a professional hair stylist. At $16 or roughly 1 cent/ hair, it's a pretty good deal.
Nuch won't let me have a female stylist, so I had to settle for a dude at The Man Salon. I'm not positive, but this dude may prefer the company of men. As long as he doesn't offer to give me a full body wax, I'm okay.
At the rate of .01/ hair, a full body wax would cost the same as a small house.
Don't Spray It
Every food service employee in America probably wears one of these mouth guards, but I thought it was a big step for China.
Now, if they could only make a sound proof version for customers, so I don't have to hear them slurp their noodles.
Maggie Choo's Bangkok
Maggie's is a 1930's Shanghai-themed lounge/ restaurant. One of several new design-oriented bars that have popped up in Bangkok.
Here's Brian with some of the decor - models wearing qipao's with fans and swinging from the ceiling. They don't talk and don't serve drinks. They just sit there, swing, and look good.
Brian's wife, Renee.
When you walk into Maggie Choo's, it's like going back in time. Here are some pictures from their website.
The front room looks like a quiet1930's noodle shop.
But once you go through the large wooden doors, you find yourself in a Shanghai-styled speakeasy.
They don't necessarily fit with the 1930's theme, but Maggie's has a great all-Asian Beatles cover band.
