Rambo: First Blood II

I've been listening to the Re-watchables podcast.  They did a series on 80's and 90's action movies - the birth , adolescence and evolution of the modern action film.  After listening, I was compelled to re-watch Predator, Commando, Terminator, Die Hard, Aliens, and Rambo - the Godfather of 80's/90's action films.  

First, who knew that Rambo was a sequel - not this 13 year-old kid.  Second, do you know the secret to Stallone's success? Consonant, Vowel, Consonant, Consonant, Vowel.

First Blood was good.  35 years after its release, Rambo is now a parody of itself - but still a lot of fun.

Thanksgiving 2020

Better late than never - here is our Covid Thanksgiving.  There were 0 cases for most of the second half of 2020, so we were able to continue our annual get together.

Thai food vendors are the only people I know who still use rubber bands.  Usually, it's a twist, a few wraps, a tuck, and your curry is sealed - and easily unsealed.  

 Not with these guys below.  I'm still not sure how they got the orange band inside the yellow band.

I was finishing off a bag of Doritos and some French Onion dip.  I got to the point where there were no big chips left and I was making a mess of scraping up the remaining dip.

Nuch's takin' names and kickin' ass.  Not one for aerobics or treadmills, Nuch started Muay Thai lessons.  Don't laugh - check out the videos.  They say Thais learn to kick before they can walk!!
