Up To Great Falls

After a couple days at the Ranch, we headed up to Great Falls

More food. It looks like I had already gained 10 pounds after 3 days.

Maggie, the happy chef. Working under grandma's ever watchful eye.

One morning we had breakfast at a local greasy spoon. Like everything in America, the pancakes were super-sized.

At dinner one night, Grandpa started telling stories of his experiences in WWII. Apparently, one of his assignments was to plan and organize traps for Japanese fighters that were chasing US bombers on their way back to their base in Hawaii.

One day we took a walk up the hills behind dad's house.

Nuch and dad traversing the plateau.

Time to feed the horses.

This is Bella.

Home On The Range

Here are some pictures from the Ranch.

One morning I got up and Ozzie was staring down a deer in the backyard.

Looking down the driveway.

Nuch with Ozzie chasing moles and gophers.

View of the house
I thought I had found a bear track. Turns out it was just Ozzie.

I took a 4 wheeler up to the hills to take in the view.

You can just make out the ranch off in the distance.

It dropped below 60, so Nuch had to break out the heavy winter wear.

One night we had a fire and made S'mores

My turn

The next day, Nuch joined me for a 4 wheel ride

Time to say good bye to Ozzie

Grandpa Bearss' 90th Birthday

We arrived in McAlister just in time for my grandfather's 90th birthday party and had dinner at the Bear Claw Bar and Grill.

Nuch out front. Bears were a running theme during our time in Montana.

Grandpa with his birthday candles.

We were kind and only made him blow out the candles once instead of the 10 times that would make the total 90.

Dad bought a Wii

Grandpa gave it a shot, as well.

After a couple games of Wii bowling it was nap time.
Aunt Janine with Dad's dog, Ozzie.

Another meal. We ate well. I gained about 10 pounds by the end of our trip.

Going To America

When it takes you 36 hours to do something, you might as well make the most of it.

Nuch and I left Bangkok around 11:30 pm. After 4 airplanes and a hotel, we finally arrived in Bozeman, Montana.

Here's where it all began.

Moments before our Thai Air flight boarded, we were still in good spirits.

This is our flight from LA to San Jose. Nuch had never been on such a small plane.

The next flight was to Seattle on Alaska Airlines with the cute Eskimo painted on the tail. Another highlight for Nuch.

Here's our final leg. Bozeman, baby, Bozeman!!!
This particular plane flew without engines.
