River House In Korat

A couple weeks ago I visited a friend up in Korat, where I worked the previous 5 years. He's based in Bangkok, but bought some land along a canal and built a little house there. The house is nothing to look at - just a comfortable getaway. The view of the rice fields and the village life took me back to my Peace Corps days.
