The ancient capital, Phimai, is about an hour from where I live, so we spent an afternoon there collecting Facebook fodder.
Ayutthaya is about the only place of interest in Korat, so we spent the rest of our time eating and drinking
No trip to Korat is complete without a visit to the Ya Mo statue.
Soon to take over Ya Mo's position as the #1 stop in Korat is the Terminal 21 Observation Tower that opens on Dec 15.
