The Cat In The Bag

My mom bought Tipper a catnip-laced bag for Christmas.

Rayong Beach Getaway

Some pics from our stay in Rayong.

We had a great spot right on the beach - during hide tide and with a storm surge, the waves came into the front yard.  I've had some good luck with recent AirBNBs.  It was connected to a Marriott Resort, so we could enjoy our privacy or be pampered if we chose.

The BTS Comes To Samut Prakan

My first ride on the BTS Samut Prakan extension. The Srinakarin Station is a 5 minute cab ride from my house.

Very quiet at 10am on a Monday.

but packed during rush hour on the way back.

So Long, Farewell

After 2 trips to Korat, a long weekend on the beach, a week in Vietnam, a "stay-cation" in Bangkok, and a quiet New Year at home, it was time for my mom to head back to the US.  Thanks for everything and see you again soon.

Thailand Foodfest

When you've seen all the temples and done all the shopping, there's not much else to do in Thailand except massages, beaches, and food...

Essence Of Chicken

My factory office gave me a New Years gift basket. I've seen these things for years, but this is the first one I had ever received. I knew they were medicinal in nature - a kind of elixir that was supposed to improve your health, vigor, and brain functions. They're red, so I assumed they were cherry-flavored. I should have read the fine print.

They do have cherry-flavored versions, but I got the "Essence of Chicken" version, which taste like chicken-flavored cough syrup.  So, for 2019, I will be without improved health, vigor, and brain function.
