Venice Of The East

Bangkok used to be called the Venice of the East because many years ago canals were the primary form of transportation.  As Bangkok developed, those canals were paved over to make roads.  From time to time, those roads become canals again.

Farewell To Rama IX

On October 26th, Thailand said farewell to King Rama IX.  Next to the Grand Palace, they built a temporary crematorium where his body was burned.

London 2017

Here are some pics from my recent trip to London.

River cruise with my mom

A hearty English breakfast

No trip to England is complete without Fish n Chips

While there I met up with my buddy Mike from OP and UF

When not soaking up British ales, we soaked up some British culture

We also met up with Derek Rich, a UF Phi Delt

To finish off the trip, my mom and I spent the afternoon in Cambridge to meet one of the newest members of the family, Beth - a beautiful baby with a perfectly spherical head that could only have been designed by a Cambridge engineer.

On a side note, I stayed at my first Airbnb.  At $100/ night I may never stay at a hotel again - at least, not in London.

Heng Heng's New Home

We finally found a home for Heng Heng.  Nuch had sent out a message to the neighborhood chat group and our next door neighbor's niece offered to take her in.

Our neighbor's niece is a cat lover.  Here are Heng Heng's new brothers and sisters.

Going Bald

While my male pattern baldness seems to have slowed in recent years, Tipper's feline pattern shedding seems to have picked up. This is after just a few minutes on my lap.

End Of The Deluge

After what seemed like an extended rainy season, the sun has finally come out.
