Factory New Year Party 2018

Here are some belated pictures and videos from the factory New Year party.

This is the yearly dance contest.  2nd from the left was the winner

Some of these dance move border on poetry in motion

Although edible, the New Year feast was the perfect way to begin my Great Weigh Loss 2018 program.

IPhone Safety

At my office New Year party I noticed several of the ladies had what looked like key rings attached to the back of their phones.  I couldn't imagine what it was for and seemed quite awkward because your phone couldn't lay flat on the backside.  It turns out they are an add on safety feature.

I was told that their phones had caused some late night injuries, so they slip the ring over their finger to keep their phones from falling and hitting their face when they fall asleep.

Korat - BKK By Air

After being closed for 15 years, the Korat airport is back in business with weekend flights to Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Bangkok.

With early check-ins, waiting at the gate, and getting a taxi at the other end, I only saved about 1 hour on what is normally a 4 hour drive, but it was a nice change to be able to sit back and relax and not worry about fighting the Korat-BKK traffic.

These seats were not set up for western men.

Here I am on the way back.  While I was heading up country, most people were heading back to Bangkok after visiting their families, so there were maybe 5 other people on the flight.  I hope it stays in business because it certainly beats driving.

Good bye Bangkok

BKK New Year 2018

Nuch and I joined some friends downtown for New Year's Eve.  Although we had a roof top view of the multiple BKK fireworks shows, these pictures from the web came out much much better.

A New Champ

Family Mart's Korean-style grilled chicken sandwich is the new convenience store sandwich champ.
