Korat - BKK By Air

After being closed for 15 years, the Korat airport is back in business with weekend flights to Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Bangkok.

With early check-ins, waiting at the gate, and getting a taxi at the other end, I only saved about 1 hour on what is normally a 4 hour drive, but it was a nice change to be able to sit back and relax and not worry about fighting the Korat-BKK traffic.

These seats were not set up for western men.

Here I am on the way back.  While I was heading up country, most people were heading back to Bangkok after visiting their families, so there were maybe 5 other people on the flight.  I hope it stays in business because it certainly beats driving.

Good bye Bangkok

Hello Korat
