In Remembrance

Initially, I was a little worried about maintaining a 1 blog entry per week pace. There are lots of things to write about, but I can't always get a picture, and I kinda made a rule with myself to always provide a picture to fill in the gaps left by my writing skills.

Fortunately, word has spread that I'm keeping a blog and friends and co-workers in Thailand have started sending me pictures and stories that they feel are blog-worthy. Here's a sample of some pictures that were sent to me today. Once again, even the Thai elephants are paying homage to the Princess. Some farangs have joined, as well.

I'm going to take a guess and say that the Princess supported a "Save the Elephants" foundation run by a western NGO, and these are some of the elephants that were sponsored by that particular organization. Then again, these could just be the Princess's pets coming to say good-bye one last time.

Looks like some of these elephants are even wearing make-up.
