Montezumas Revenge

After being repeatedly denied, Bangkok protesters finally found redemption when Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej was forced to resign due his part-time job as the host of a Thai cooking show.

Thai law states that public officials (Prime Ministers and, maybe, members of parliament) can not be employed or receive compensation for work outside of their regular governmental duties.

Despite the roundabout way in which their demands were ultimately met, the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protesters were, needless to say, elated.

However, they have made it clear that if the next Prime Minister is not to their liking, they will continue to protest. So, looks like just another episode in this soap opera, and the season finale is far from near.
