Recently, I joined Nuch and her friends on a visit to a child care center. It's a place where young mothers, who can't take care of their kids, can leave them for extended periods of time - something between a day care and an orphanage and a petting zoo. I have to admit, aside from all the good intentions, it was a bit strange.
They went there to make merit for the new year and donate diapers and other baby stuff.
As we were leaving, I noticed that it was sponsored by Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. They didn't waste much of the budget on the sign.
