Lake Korat

A little excitement in Korat today. After an hour of torrential rain, some of the roads near my factory flooded.

If there was less traffic and it was the weekend, kids probably would have come out to play in their newly-created pool, while the adults park and wash their cars.

Floods in Thailand can certainly be devastating, but little floods like this are more of an event - like a carnival coming to town. Even for me it's kinda exciting. Look at me, I'm driving in a flood.

With all the levees, sewers, canals, reservoirs, and civil engineers - nature still knows how to show who's boss. Luckily, it was just a subtle reminder.
