MK Suki

MK Suki is probably the most popular restaurant chain in Thailand. There's one in almost every mall and department store. When Nuch comes to Korat from Bangkok, we usually meet up at the "Da Mall" and have dinner at MK. Here are some pictures from last night.

It's a simple concept - a do it yourself Japanese-styled sukiyaki. It's fun to make and pretty healthy - nothing is fried and there are lots of veggies. I think it could be popular in the US, if you could get immunity from any salmonella or trichinosis lawsuits.

Several months ago, MK added "entertainment" to their menu. At 6pm the host and hostesses get in formation and put on a dance show. The first time I saw it I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Here's a video.

Here's a blurry picture of our dessert. It's coconut ice cream with corn on top. In Thailand, corn often accompanies sweets or desserts. As Nuch explains, it's sweet corn.
